Have you ever written, what you thought, was a solid resume but never got a call from the employer? This happens to so many people around the country, even the world, that people have wrote many techniques to writing a successful resume. I decided to write this article to help you determine the problem of why your not getting any phone calls, offering you the job you want.

First, you have to put yourself in the position of the employer. There may be over 200 or 500 resumes submitted for the exact job your going for, so stand out! There is no way the company is going to read all of those resumes, so you have to start off by grabbing their attention! A successful way of doing so is by stating your goals and ambitions right off the bat. It shows the employer that you are serious about the job and already have a plan for the direction you want your life to go in.

Second, there are some characteristics you want the employer to think about you while he/she reads your resume. You want to be honest, because it's good character but furthermore because your lies will always be exposed! There are back round checks as well as on the job evaluations that if you say you can perform a certain task, when you can't, you will positively be discovered. You want to be concise, as employers often won't read anything if it's several pages or contains unnecessary content. Say everything you wish to say on it, and then later edit out what you think is unimportant. Lastly, be professional. Make sure your email address is appropriate for the business world, and leave out all the humorous lines that you think will make the employer laugh (it won't).
