Recruitment Manager Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise - Lake Louise, Alberta

The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a recruitment strategy using a variety of innovative methods including increasing our visibility through social media and other online content.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will oversee a department committed to ensuring proper staffing levels and that the highest quality of applicants is generated.
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Be accountable for leading the recruitment process of an organization with a 650-800 employee base in both seasonal and year round positions
  • Create and execute a Recruitment Strategic Plan based on the Unique Selling Proposition of the location; involving a Sales & Marketing approach
  • Proactively search and manage new recruitment opportunities and alternative ways to leverage social media activities
  • Maintain and update the recruitment website www.lakelouisejobs.com
  • Provide strong leadership and communication to departmental recruiters in an atmosphere that is fast paced and ever changing
  • Actively work with department heads and hiring managers on continuous  manpower plans aligned with the business strategy
  • Develop and facilitate training and coaching opportunities on recruitment best practices
  • Follow-up on the existing Foreign Worker Program at the property
  • Maintain the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) through employer applications and tracking
  • Build and maintain relationships with both international and national hospitality schools
  • Organize and represent Fairmont Canada’s Western Mountain Region and company during on-campus recruitment trips and job-fairs, establishing and developing relationships with Canadian and International college and university representatives
  • Oversee the Student Work Experience Program, including receptions, presentations and on campus recruiting
  • Create effective career advertisements (print, internet, etc.), coordinating with executive recruitment agencies when required
  • Create and manage the Recruitment Budget and maintaining and tracking monthly finances
  • Overseeing the tracking and communication of monthly turnover reports
  • Coach and develop the recruitment team
  • Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with Recruitment, preferably in remote locations and/or with hiring agencies, and with focus on sourcing strategies, is required
  • Diploma/Degree in Hospitality, Marketing or Human Resources Management is preferred
  • Social Media knowledge and experience is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with high volume recruitment
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Analytical problem solver with a keen eye for detail, a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral  
  • Knowledge of computer literacy
